Famous Blue Raincoat (cover) - Jonathan Coulton
Someone at work said something about “living for nothing” today, and that was all it took for Famous Blue Raincoat to become stuck in my head. Once it’s in there, it takes a while to get back out, because the feeling and story of Cohen’s lyrics are so remarkable. You never know all of what he’s talking about in this letter he’s writing. It’s just a glimpse into his past, but somehow you feel it anyway.
Coulton’s cover is actually my favorite version of the song. This video’s not too great, but it’s what I could find to post.
