Late to the party, but adding my two cents anyway
Sagging pants have nothing to do with homosexuality, in prisons or not. The link is made by people who want to denigrate those with saggy pants and feel that the best was to do so is by associating it with gay sex.
The style appears to have originated by being similar to what can be found in prisons (because belts aren’t often allowed), therefore wearing sagging pants could be used to try...
I’m at the pharmacy waiting for a refill and there is another man sitting here, waiting. He’s about 10 feet away from me and the smell of alcohol coming from him is remarkably strong. I hope he’s got the day off work.
We gave each other things we don’t really need, went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant and now we’re ending the day by watching the Doctor Who Christmas special. There may be no snow on the ground, but I don’t think this Christmas could get any more white.
You know what makes the holidays more enjoyable?
Being with people who actually want to be there.
Conversely…
Christmas #1 is complete
We opened Olivia’s present from my parents, my grandmother and my sisters (and their families) tonight via webcam since we can’t be with them this year.
We have Christmas with Melissa’s mom and sister on Christmas day then with her dad and step-mom some time after they arrive on the 28th still to go.

Melissa: ...and did you see her tits?
Craig: Honey...everybody sees them.
Earth Must Have Another Moon, Say Astronomers →
rosieloveswords:
I read so much scifi and fantasy as a kid I always wanted to wake up to a sky with two suns and go to bed with a sky full of moons.
This is really cool.
The headline is considerably more exciting than the actual article. It’s not like we’ve been ignoring a second Moon-sized moon forever. There are just occasional meter-sized rocks that come by and end up orbiting...

Truthful Tuesday
I sometimes find things in my drafts on here that have been there for a while and obviously were written in response to something I read/heard/saw at the time, but I don’t know why I wrote it anymore or I don’t feel strongly enough anymore, so I delete them. Other times, I let them stay, even though I’m not really sure why I keep them.
Of course, it’s not like tumblr is...

Coworker: Are you going to do karaoke if they have it at the party this year?
Me: *hysterical laughter* No. *resumes laughing*
Today is our work holiday party. Well, one of two. In January we will have another smaller one for just people in our building. Today is the big one for lots of people so we can all be together…and then split back off to a bunch of smaller groups and ignore the people we aren’t normally around anyway. For me, it’s a chance to stand around feeling awkward for a couple hours while...
It’s so windy tonight that the inflatable snowman lawn decoration two houses down looks like it’s headbanging.

Andy Williams - It’s The Most Wonderful Time of The Year.
Every year when I start hearing this song, I have the same question: Who tells ghost stories at Christmas? Other than A Christmas Carol, I have no idea what “scary ghost stories” he’s talking about (and even that is quite a stretch). Have I been missing out on some great Christmas tradition my entire life?
The Case of The Missing Butter
I’m missing two sticks of butter.
I’m making cookies, so I had a pound of butter out coming to room temperature. I went to get two sticks for the first batch and noticed that there were only two there. Thinking that perhaps I set them down somewhere while doing something else (which wouldn’t be surprising for me), I searched the kitchen. I searched my work area. I searched the...
